Job Overview:
As an HVAC & Sanitary Operations Technician at CERN, you will play a crucial role in the operation and construction of HVAC and sanitary systems within CERN's extensive buildings and technical infrastructures. This position requires a skilled technician who is ready to engage actively in various tasks related to HVAC and sanitary equipment. You will be part of the Infrastructure Section within the Site Asset Management Group, which is responsible for the maintenance, design, and execution of HVAC and sanitary installations. Your technical expertise will contribute significantly to the smooth operation of CERN's facilities, ensuring that they meet the highest standards of safety and efficiency.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Your primary responsibilities will include overseeing the operation, maintenance, repair, testing, and modifications of major HVAC and sanitary systems. You will develop troubleshooting and repair solutions for HVAC and sanitary equipment, ensuring compliance with project specifications and safety standards. Monitoring the progress of HVAC and sanitary construction projects will be essential, as will ensuring quality control and budget adherence. You will also be responsible for keeping technical documentation up to date and ensuring it meets quality and CMMS standards. Additionally, you will liaise with external firms and internal stakeholders to follow up on the execution of HVAC and sanitary installations in large civil engineering projects, ensuring that all necessary safety measures are implemented on work sites.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a higher technical diploma or equivalent relevant experience in HVAC, sanitary systems, or a related field. Extensive experience as a work supervisor in HVAC and sanitary systems operation and installations for tertiary and industrial buildings is required. Familiarity with HVAC and sanitary standards is essential, and experience with compressed air systems will be considered a strong asset. Candidates should also have demonstrated experience working in complex environments, such as large industrial plants or technical buildings, and experience using CMMS tools and office software is necessary.

Educational Background:
The position requires a higher technical diploma or equivalent relevant experience in HVAC, sanitary systems, or a related field. This educational background is crucial for understanding the technical aspects of HVAC and sanitary operations and ensuring compliance with industry standards.

Experience:
Candidates should have extensive experience in supervising work related to HVAC and sanitary systems, particularly in tertiary and industrial buildings. The position is offered as a limited duration contract for three years, with the possibility for holders of limited-duration contracts to apply for an indefinite position under certain conditions.
