Job Overview:

Duties and Responsibilities:
Interns will be responsible for a range of duties, including but not limited to: assisting in the collection and analysis of economic data and qualitative information; preparing briefing notes and presentations for the Director and other stakeholders; supporting the preparation of reports for intergovernmental bodies; summarizing meetings and preparing related materials; organizing expert group meetings and seminars; performing administrative tasks to support the work unit; assisting in the clearance process of communications and research materials; and preparing communication materials for social media and other digital platforms. Interns are also expected to adhere to the UN's rules and regulations, respect confidentiality, and maintain impartiality in their work.

Required Qualifications:
Applicants must meet specific qualifications to be considered for the internship. They should be enrolled in or have completed a graduate program (second university degree or equivalent) or be in their final academic year of a first university degree program (minimum bachelor's level). Additionally, candidates should be computer literate in standard software applications, demonstrate a keen interest in the work of the United Nations, and possess the ability to interact successfully with individuals from diverse cultural backgrounds. Knowledge of trade and the multilateral trading system is considered an asset, and a degree in economics, development, law, political science, or other relevant social sciences is required.
