Job Overview: The Data Ecosystem Analyst position at WFP involves conducting a comprehensive analysis of the existing data ecosystem within the country. The role requires mapping out current policies, practices, technologies, and systems that support the data ecosystem. The analyst will be responsible for conducting extensive desk reviews and analyses of published reports related to the data ecosystem, utilizing findings to design a prototype for a Joint Data Ecosystem. Duties and Responsibilities: The Data Ecosystem Analyst will have a diverse set of responsibilities, including:
Conducting a thorough mapping of existing policies, practices, technologies, and systems that comprise the data ecosystem.
Performing extensive desk reviews and analyses of published reports to identify gaps and opportunities within the data ecosystem.
Designing a prototype for a Joint Data Ecosystem based on the findings from the analysis.
Costing the Joint Programme on Data Ecosystem to ensure financial viability and sustainability.
Gathering and analyzing demographic data, including age, gender, income, education, and geographic distribution.
Assessing the capacity of individuals in processing information, including literacy and numeracy skills.
Evaluating device ownership and access to technology across different demographic groups.
Analyzing data flow pathways and the interoperability of existing data management systems.
Conducting assessments of data quality, sources, and analysis tools. 1
Collaborating with various stakeholders to ensure effective data sharing and management practices are established.
Required Qualifications: Candidates for the Data Ecosystem Analyst position must possess a strong set of qualifications, including:
Proven experience in data analysis, policy mapping, and ecosystem assessments.
