Job Overview:
The Salesforce Reporting Specialist position is a critical role within the Center of Development Operations at the American Heart Association. This position is designed for individuals who are passionate about data and its role in driving decision-making processes. The specialist will work in a hybrid environment, spending 2 to 3 days a week in a local market office, which allows for flexibility in work location. The primary responsibility of this role is to design, build, and maintain user-facing dashboards and reports within Salesforce, ensuring that the data presented is accurate and actionable. The specialist will collaborate closely with internal teams to understand their business needs and translate these into effective visualizations. Duties and Responsibilities:
The Salesforce Reporting Specialist will have a variety of responsibilities, including but not limited to: designing, building, and maintaining Salesforce dashboards and reports using the native report builder and filtering tools; ensuring data accuracy and integrity in dashboards by validating field-level information and understanding object relationships; collaborating with internal stakeholders to gather business requirements and deliver custom reporting solutions that align with organizational priorities; contributing to the ongoing development of a unified reporting framework that provides cross-departmental insights and performance metrics to senior leadership; documenting report definitions and preparing for future data integrations across teams; and supporting the organization in achieving its fundraising goals through effective data management and reporting.
Required Qualifications:
Candidates for the Salesforce Reporting Specialist position must possess a high school diploma or equivalent. Additionally, they should have five years of relevant work experience, with a bachelor's degree in a related field potentially substituting for up to three years of experience. Candidates must also have at least two years of experience building dashboards and reports in Salesforce or an equivalent CRM, a strong understanding of CRM data models and object relationships, and the ability to translate business needs into visual data. Effective written and verbal communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently are also essential qualifications for this role.
