Job Overview:
The ICLA Technical Assistant will play a crucial role in implementing the ICLA project portfolio in accordance with the established strategy, action plans, and budgetary guidelines. The position requires adherence to NRC policies and donor requirements while coordinating with various partners and stakeholders. The assistant will be responsible for preparing and developing reports related to ICLA, identifying protection needs and gaps, and ensuring proper documentation and database management. The role emphasizes targeting the most vulnerable populations and exploring innovative methods to enhance the quality of assistance provided. Additionally, the assistant will promote the rights of refugees and displaced individuals in alignment with NRC's advocacy strategy, ensuring that protection needs are identified and addressed effectively.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The ICLA Technical Assistant will have a range of responsibilities including: implementing the ICLA project portfolio according to the strategic plan and budget; ensuring compliance with NRC policies and donor requirements; coordinating with partners and stakeholders; preparing status reports and ICLA-related documentation; identifying protection needs and gaps; maintaining proper filing systems and databases; ensuring that projects effectively target vulnerable populations; promoting new methods to improve activity quality; conducting regular follow-ups on legal cases; drafting letters and distributing bon cards to project participants; providing legal assistance and counseling to refugees; conducting interviews and assessments of vulnerability; and monitoring and evaluating project implementation.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a minimum first-level university degree in law or a related field. It is desirable to have at least two years of relevant working experience in a humanitarian or recovery context, particularly in community-related work. Candidates should demonstrate fluency in Persian, both written and spoken, and proficiency in English is also desirable. Documented results related to the position's responsibilities are essential, along with experience working in complex and volatile contexts. A good understanding of the Iranian legal system and relevant international legal instruments is crucial, as well as updated knowledge of the humanitarian context in Iran.

Educational Background:
The educational requirement for this position includes a minimum first-level university degree in law or a related discipline. This educational background is essential to ensure that the candidate possesses the necessary legal knowledge and skills to effectively assist refugees and displaced individuals in navigating legal challenges and accessing their rights.

Experience:
The position requires at least two years of relevant working experience in a humanitarian or recovery context, particularly in roles that involve community engagement and legal assistance. Experience in complex and volatile environments is highly valued, as it equips the candidate with the skills needed to navigate the challenges faced by displaced populations.

Languages:
Fluency in Persian is mandatory, as it is the primary language of communication with the target population. Proficiency in English is considered an asset, as it may facilitate communication with international partners and stakeholders.

Additional Notes:
The contract for this position includes a three-month probation period with the possibility of extension. The salary will be based on NRC's grading structure, specifically grade 4 of the organizational grading and structure. The duty station is in Bandar Abbas, Iran, with field visits (40%) to other provinces where NRC operates, including Kerman, Hormozgan, Sistan & Balouchestan, and Yazd.
