Job Overview:
The Team Assistant position at the World Bank involves providing essential administrative support to facilitate the preparation and implementation of Bank projects. Duties and Responsibilities:
The Team Assistant will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including:
  • Supporting the preparation and implementation of Bank projects in accordance with established procedures.
  • Assisting in the logistical planning for events such as conferences, workshops, and negotiations, ensuring smooth coordination with government representatives and external partners.
  • Tracking project timelines and coordinating with relevant staff to provide necessary assistance and information on project-related matters.
  • Maintaining up-to-date distribution lists and contact information for project stakeholders, as well as managing document distribution for the team.
  • Keeping organized project files and records to ensure easy access to information.
  • Translating and drafting routine documents while applying effective proofreading skills in English, Turkmen, and Russian.
  • Addressing non-routine problems and responding to requests that require thorough file searches.
  • Collaborating closely with the regional Resource Management team to process and monitor various office transactions.
  • Performing additional tasks as requested by the Country Manager, Executive Assistant, and operational staff, demonstrating flexibility and a willingness to assist wherever needed.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a minimum of a bachelor’s degree and at least two years of experience in administrative support functions. Proficiency in IT skills, particularly in MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, SAP, and IRIS, is essential. The ideal candidate will demonstrate excellent organizational, administrative, and time management skills, with a proven ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet tight deadlines. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and oral, are crucial for effective collaboration and interaction with various stakeholders. Attention to detail is necessary to maintain high professional standards, and candidates should be resourceful and proactive in their approach to work. Teamwork and collaboration skills are also important, as the role requires working effectively in a reciprocal environment.

Educational Background:
A bachelor’s degree is the minimum educational requirement for this position. Candidates with degrees in fields related to administration, business, or social sciences may be preferred, as these areas of study provide relevant knowledge and skills applicable to the role of Team Assistant.

Experience:
The position requires at least two years of experience in administrative support functions. Languages:
Proficiency in English, Turkmen, and Russian is essential for this position.
