Job Overview:
The Associate Operations Officer will play a pivotal role in expanding and scaling IFC's initiatives on gender inclusion in employment and inclusive workplaces. This position involves a multifaceted approach that includes conducting research, providing high-quality gender advisory services to private sector clients, and fostering partnerships for peer learning. The officer will be responsible for project management, ensuring compliance with internal systems, and monitoring the effectiveness of gender integration in various projects. The role also encompasses the development of innovative tools and resources to support gender initiatives, thereby enhancing the business case for gender-smart solutions in the private sector.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The duties and responsibilities of the Associate Operations Officer include supporting the implementation of the department’s Gender Strategy, ensuring quality gender integration into project documentation, monitoring corporate gender KPIs, and preparing reports. The officer will create tools and resources for strategic gender initiatives, manage project cycles, and collaborate with various teams to ensure compliance with IFC policies. Additionally, the officer will design and deliver corporate gender diagnostics, conduct business development efforts, and contribute to research and thought leadership on gender issues. Responsibilities also include maintaining communication materials, organizing events, and consolidating lessons learned from project experiences.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a Master’s degree in international development, Gender Studies, Economics, or Business Administration. A minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience in delivering gender analysis and gender-smart solutions in the private sector is required. Proven project management skills, the ability to design and implement gender engagements, and experience in translating analytical work into actionable policy advice are essential. Strong communication skills, the ability to work under pressure, and a collaborative mindset are also necessary for this role.

Educational Background:
The educational background required for this position includes a Master’s degree in fields related to international development, gender studies, economics, or business administration. This advanced education is crucial for understanding the complexities of gender issues in the private sector and for developing effective strategies to address them.

Experience:
The position requires at least 5 years of work experience in delivering gender analysis and gender-smart solutions within the private sector, particularly in emerging markets. Candidates should have a proven track record of managing projects and delivering innovative, evidence-based solutions to private sector companies. Experience in designing and implementing gender engagements and translating analytical work into policy recommendations is also necessary.

Languages:
Proficiency in English is mandatory for this position, while knowledge of French and/or Portuguese is preferred. Strong communication skills in these languages will enhance the officer's ability to engage with diverse stakeholders and clients.
