Job Overview:
The Integrated Programming (IP) Technical Assistant position is designed to support NRC's operations by conducting comprehensive assessments and referring cases, while also gathering data to enhance integrated programming and advocacy efforts. The role involves planning and prioritizing IP work in collaboration with the Multi CC project manager, conducting assessments, and providing guidance to CC Assistants. The IP Technical Assistant serves as the primary contact for assessments in their designated area, ensuring that the needs of beneficiaries are met effectively and efficiently. Duties and Responsibilities:
The IP Technical Assistant will be responsible for managing the workload of assessments across all Core Competencies (CCs), conducting assessments, and overseeing the overall assessment processes, including data management at the Area Office level. They will prepare and develop status reports as required by management, ensure proper documentation, and target beneficiaries most in need while exploring new ways to assist. The role includes promoting the Comprehensive Vulnerability Assessment Tool (CVAT), identifying protection needs, and analyzing quantitative and qualitative reports. Specific responsibilities include planning and prioritizing work for the IP unit, assigning tasks to case workers, monitoring task completion and quality, conducting quality checks on data, coordinating with local partners, and identifying opportunities for operational improvements. The IP Technical Assistant will also conduct holistic assessments, manage case review meetings, and provide capacity building for caseworkers and partners.
Required Qualifications:
Candidates should possess experience working in complex and volatile contexts, preferably within NGOs.
