Job Overview:
The position of Fachkraft im Entwicklungsdienst (FiED) at the Berufsschulzentrum Nampula involves supporting local vocational training institutions in Mozambique to strengthen their training capacities, particularly in the sectors of energy, transport, and logistics. The role is crucial in enhancing the quality of vocational education and training (VET) programs, which are currently lacking strategic development and effective teacher training. The successful candidate will work closely with the CFP IFPELAC vocational training center, which has been implementing practical (dual) training in cooperation with the private sector. The position requires a proactive approach to developing training programs, providing career orientation for students, and facilitating their transition into the labor market.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The duties and responsibilities of the Fachkraft im Entwicklungsdienst include coordinating teacher training, particularly in the fields of metal, electrical, and automotive professions. The role also involves supporting the introduction of alternating vocational training in sectors such as energy, agriculture, and transport/logistics. Additionally, the candidate will advise vocational training centers on strategic development and organizational growth, assist in career orientation measures for trainees, support the technical equipment of vocational training centers, promote cooperation between vocational institutions and the economy, and facilitate international accreditation of training programs, such as in welding. The position also requires fostering collaboration with international partners and organizations to create synergies.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must have completed vocational training or a degree in a relevant field (metal, electrical, automotive, or construction). They should possess professional experience in vocational education, with several years of experience in foreign countries, particularly in Southern Africa. Experience in planning and conducting teacher training measures is essential, along with knowledge of dual/alternating vocational training and career preparation. Good project management skills, especially in organizational development and strategic planning, are required. The candidate should also have experience working with international and national stakeholders, intercultural competence, and a willingness to work in an international environment.

Educational Background:
The educational background required for this position includes a completed vocational training or a degree in a relevant field such as metal, electrical, automotive, or construction. This educational foundation is critical for understanding the technical aspects of the training programs and for effectively supporting the vocational institutions in Mozambique.

Experience:
The position requires candidates to have at least two years of relevant professional experience. This experience should ideally include work in vocational education and training, as well as international experience, particularly in Southern Africa. The candidate should demonstrate a strong ability to plan and implement training programs and possess a solid understanding of the vocational education landscape.

Languages:
Fluent Portuguese is mandatory, along with negotiation-level proficiency in either English or German. Proficiency in these languages is essential for effective communication with local partners, stakeholders, and trainees, as well as for the successful implementation of training programs.
