Job Overview: The position of Controller*in as Business Expert*in SAP S/4HANA involves working on the update and revision of the corporate software systems at GIZ. This role is part of the 'Large Scale Solution (LSS) S4GIZ' project, which is a multi-year large-scale initiative aimed at digital transformation across the organization. The project requires interdisciplinary collaboration and consists of several sub-projects (workstreams). The primary goal of the LSS is to transition from the existing SAP system to the SAP S/4HANA platform, implementing new SAP-supported processes to optimally cover the end-to-end defined business processes of GIZ. The successful candidate will specifically focus on the analytics workstream, addressing the controlling processes within the management process 'M2 Operative Planning, Development, and Control' and coordinating analytics with the integrated planning and reporting concept of the future SAP system.
Duties and Responsibilities: The responsibilities of the Controller*in include independently managing topics within the workstream during the project phases of LSS S4GIZ, with a specific focus on: supporting the establishment of future management reporting using SAP Analytics Cloud and BW/4; assisting in the preparation of tests and training materials for the implementation of International Services (InS) planning and InS result accounting; preparing for the rollout by contributing to training and educational concepts for the analytics workstream, including authoring user manuals and training tools; supporting data migration preparation; assisting in testing and further elaboration of the role and authorization concept; collaborating and coordinating with external SAP consultants and internal commercial experts.
Required Qualifications: The required qualifications for this position include a completed commercial degree (e.g., business administration, business informatics) or a comparable qualification. Additionally, candidates should have several years of experience in corporate controlling and/or management reporting, particularly in data preparation and key figure analysis. Relevant experience with SAP, specifically in SAP Analytics Cloud and/or financial management/controlling, is essential. Candidates should also have experience in the introduction of IT applications in the analytics and/or controlling area, a self-directed and structured working style, a sense of responsibility combined with teamwork and commitment, and strong written and verbal communication skills. Proficiency in German and good English skills are mandatory.
Educational Background: Candidates must possess a completed commercial degree, such as in business administration or business informatics, or an equivalent qualification that demonstrates their capability to perform the required tasks effectively.
Experience: The position requires several years of relevant experience in the fields of corporate controlling and management reporting, particularly with a focus on data preparation and analysis. Experience with SAP systems, especially in the context of SAP Analytics Cloud and financial management/controlling, is also necessary. Familiarity with the implementation of IT applications in analytics and/or controlling is highly valued.
Languages: Fluency in German is mandatory, along with good proficiency in English. These language skills are essential for effective communication within the organization and with external partners.
Additional Notes: This position is classified under pay band 4 and is intended for a part-time engagement at 50% of the contractually agreed working hours.
