Job Overview: The IT Solutions Associate, SC6, will play a crucial role in supporting the Cash Assistance delivery portfolio for the SANAD Project, which aims to assist households in Sudan facing food insecurity. The incumbent will work under the direct supervision of the Digital Services Lead in the Technology Unit and will interface periodically with the Project Coordinator and Programme team. The primary responsibilities include providing technical support for beneficiary registrations and distributions through Digital Assistance Services (DAS), ensuring efficient implementation of programs across the country, and collaborating with various stakeholders to assess needs and select appropriate partners for DAS operations. The role requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to analyze data to inform strategic decisions regarding program implementations.
Duties and Responsibilities: The duties and responsibilities of the IT Solutions Associate include:
Supporting offices across Sudan in the efficient implementation of their programs by leveraging the DAS platform and other technological solutions.
Building capacity for cooperating partners to enable them to assist in beneficiary registrations and distributions as needed.
Assessing the requirements for cards and equipment to ensure continuous support for operations.
Providing technical support to DAS operations and analyzing requirements for implementation across the country.
Participating in meetings with internal stakeholders and service providers to define needs and select appropriate partners for executing DAS operations.
Collaborating with field offices to prepare and execute DAS implementation plans in coordination with all stakeholders.
Gathering data, analyzing it, and producing compelling reports and dashboards to provide insights about implementations and inform strategic decisions on programs.
Performing other related duties as required to support the overall objectives of the SANAD Project.
Required Qualifications: The position requires the following qualifications:
Completion of secondary school education.
A post-secondary certificate in a related functional area is preferred.
Six years of experience in a related functional area, demonstrating a strong understanding of IT solutions and their application in humanitarian contexts.
Proven ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams and stakeholders, including government agencies, NGOs, and community organizations.
Strong analytical skills and the ability to produce reports and dashboards that inform decision-making processes.
Educational Background: Candidates must have completed secondary school education, and a post-secondary certificate in a related functional area is highly desirable. This educational background provides the foundational knowledge necessary for understanding the technical aspects of the role and the operational context in which WFP operates.
Experience: The position requires a minimum of six years of relevant experience in the IT solutions field, particularly in contexts related to humanitarian assistance and cash transfer programs. This experience should demonstrate the ability to manage technical support for digital services and collaborate effectively with various stakeholders to achieve program objectives.
Languages: Fluency in both English and Arabic is mandatory for this position, as effective communication with diverse stakeholders is essential. Proficiency in additional languages may be considered an asset, enhancing the ability to engage with a broader range of beneficiaries and partners.
