Job Overview:
The Education Technical Assistant will play a crucial role in supporting the implementation of educational programs in Sittwe, Myanmar. This position involves collaborating with teachers, school administrators, and community stakeholders to ensure that educational resources are effectively utilized. The assistant will be responsible for providing technical support in curriculum development, teacher training, and monitoring educational outcomes. The role requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and a commitment to improving educational standards in the region. The assistant will also be expected to gather data on educational performance and contribute to reports that inform program adjustments and improvements.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assist in the development and implementation of educational programs and curricula in schools.
• Provide training and support to teachers on effective teaching methodologies and classroom management.
• Collaborate with local education authorities to align programs with national education standards.
• Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of educational initiatives and report findings to management.
• Facilitate workshops and training sessions for educators and community members.
• Collect and analyze data related to student performance and educational outcomes.
• Support the organization of community engagement activities to promote education.
• Assist in the preparation of educational materials and resources for teachers and students.

Educational Background:
A bachelor's degree in education, social sciences, or a related field is required. Additional certifications in teaching or educational program management are preferred. Candidates with experience in educational settings or community development will be given priority.

Experience:
A minimum of 2 years of experience in educational roles, preferably in a technical support or assistant capacity. Experience working in Myanmar or similar contexts is highly desirable. Familiarity with local educational challenges and community dynamics will be an advantage.

Languages:
Fluency in Burmese is mandatory. Proficiency in English is highly desirable, as it will be necessary for reporting and communication with international stakeholders. Knowledge of additional local languages is a plus.

Additional Notes:
This is a full-time position based in Sittwe, Myanmar. The contract duration is initially for one year, with the possibility of extension based on performance and funding availability.
