Job Overview:
The Finance Assistant position is crucial for the effective implementation of finance functions within the NRC framework. Duties and Responsibilities:
The Finance Assistant will have a range of duties and responsibilities, including but not limited to: adhering to NRC policies and guidelines; assisting with the implementation of financial support functions; preparing status reports for management; ensuring proper filing of financial documents; promoting improvements in financial processes; managing cash advances and ensuring accountability; processing timely payments for staff and suppliers; verifying payment requests for accuracy and compliance; making payments to beneficiaries; maintaining accurate financial records; preparing documents for financial reporting; and assisting in the monthly closing report preparation. The role also involves maintaining a proper filing system for all financial documents and undertaking any other assignments as directed by the supervisor.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a university degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field. They should have experience working as a Finance Officer or Assistant, preferably in a humanitarian or NGO context. Documented results related to the responsibilities of the position are essential. Fluency in English, both oral and written, is mandatory, and candidates should demonstrate a commitment to professional development within the project portfolio. Adherence to the NRC Code of Conduct is expected at all times.

Educational Background:
A university degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field is required for this position. This educational background provides the necessary knowledge and skills to effectively manage financial tasks and responsibilities within the organization.

Experience:
Candidates should have prior experience working in finance roles, specifically as a Finance Officer or Assistant. Experience in a humanitarian or NGO setting is highly desirable, as it equips candidates with the understanding of the unique challenges and requirements of financial management in such environments. Languages:
Fluency in English is mandatory for this position, both in oral and written communication.
