Job Overview: The Cluster Consortium Forum Manager position at NRC is a critical role focused on implementing and coordinating the work of the INGO forum in Venezuela. Duties and Responsibilities: The duties and responsibilities of the Cluster Consortium Forum Manager include developing and implementing the INGO forum’s strategic direction and work plan, strengthening relationships with UN agencies, donors, embassies, INGOs, NNGOs, civil society organizations, and national and regional authorities. The manager will prepare and manage budgets aligned with approved activities, ensure timely reporting to forum members and the Steering Committee, and facilitate and coordinate meetings with actionable follow-ups. Additionally, the manager will represent forum positions in engagements with key stakeholders and donors, ensuring adherence to agreed policies, terms of reference, guidelines, and principles.
Required Qualifications: Candidates for this position must possess a minimum of five years of experience in similar roles related to coordination, particularly within complex or volatile contexts such as Venezuela. Proven expertise in advocacy and coordination is essential, along with fluency in Spanish and English (C1-C2 level). Proficiency in MS Office, SharePoint, and OneDrive is required, as well as experience in developing and implementing coordination strategies and plans. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in preparing budgets for humanitarian donor activities and familiarity with key actors in the humanitarian response within the country.
Educational Background: The educational background required for this position includes a relevant degree in fields such as international relations, humanitarian studies, social sciences, or a related discipline. Advanced degrees or specialized training in humanitarian coordination or advocacy may be advantageous and are often preferred by employers in this sector.
Experience: The position requires candidates to have substantial experience, specifically a minimum of five years in coordination roles within humanitarian contexts. Experience in humanitarian coordination is particularly important, as the role involves working closely with various stakeholders and navigating the complexities of humanitarian response efforts.
