Job Overview:
The position of Technicien(ne) chargé(e) du suivi des activités de stabilisation communautaire is crucial for the implementation of community stabilization projects in Burundi. The successful candidate will be responsible for the daily monitoring of project activities on the ground, ensuring that all operations align with the project's objectives and standards. The technician will also play a key role in coordinating construction activities, verifying compliance with project specifications, and maintaining effective communication with all stakeholders involved in the project.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The duties and responsibilities of the Technicien(ne) include assisting the selected construction company in developing and implementing technical solutions as needed, daily monitoring of construction sites, and ensuring compliance with project timelines and specifications. The technician will verify the conformity of construction works with established plans and specifications, coordinate with engineers and construction firms, and ensure that all work meets the construction standards in Burundi. Additionally, the technician will maintain a detailed daily log of all activities, materials, personnel, and any issues encountered, and will participate in reporting achievements and archiving evidence of project accomplishments. Safety procedures must be integrated into community work processes, and the technician will be responsible for ensuring that all activities prioritize the safety and dignity of beneficiaries.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must have a minimum of three years of experience in continuous monitoring of construction works and have supervised at least three construction sites in the last three years. Additionally, a minimum of two years of experience in monitoring and coordinating community stabilization activities is required. Candidates should demonstrate the ability to maintain confidentiality and prioritize the safety and dignity of beneficiaries at all times. Comfort in a multicultural environment, flexibility, and the ability to manage pressure are essential. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint is also required, along with a willingness to work overtime if necessary and a solid understanding of safety regulations.

Educational Background:
The educational background required for this position includes a technical diploma in Construction Management, Drafting, Rural Engineering, or Surveying, or any related field. This educational foundation is essential for understanding the technical aspects of construction and project management.

Experience:
The position requires candidates to have at least three years of relevant experience in construction site supervision and at least two years in community stabilization activities. This experience is critical for ensuring that the technician can effectively monitor and coordinate project activities, ensuring compliance with standards and timelines.

Languages:
Fluency in Kirundi and French is mandatory for this position. These language skills are essential for effective communication with local communities, stakeholders, and team members.
