Job Overview:
The Project Coordinator will play a crucial role in the HELIOS+ project, which aims to facilitate the integration of beneficiaries of international protection and temporary protection into Greek society. This position requires close collaboration with national and local authorities, as well as experienced partners, to implement activities that support employability, provide Greek language courses, vocational training, and promote social cohesion. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing project activities, ensuring quality service delivery, and monitoring the project's progress. The role demands strong leadership skills, the ability to work in a multicultural environment, and a commitment to humanitarian principles.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The Project Coordinator will supervise and guide the project team, ensuring a safe and well-equipped working environment. Key responsibilities include approving beneficiary enrollment, developing methodologies and tools for project implementation, monitoring service quality, and collaborating with various stakeholders to achieve project goals. The coordinator will also be responsible for data collection, verification, and timely reporting to senior management. Additionally, the role involves representing the project in meetings, drafting reports for donors, and performing any other related duties as assigned. The position specifically leads services related to sensitization and social cohesion, emphasizing the importance of community engagement and support.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a strong work ethic and commitment to humanitarian principles. A valid driver's license with at least five years of driving experience is considered an advantage. The role requires fluency in English and Greek, both written and oral, with proficiency in additional languages being a plus. Candidates should demonstrate strong communication skills, the ability to work collaboratively, and a commitment to achieving results in a timely manner. Familiarity with IOM's competency framework and values is essential, as candidates will be assessed on these during the selection process.

Educational Background:
The educational requirements for this position include a High School Diploma with a minimum of four years of relevant work experience, or a University degree in fields such as psychology, social work, law, sociology, social anthropology, management, business administration, or public administration, with at least two years of work experience. A Master's degree in these fields will be considered an advantage. Candidates must have graduated from accredited institutions recognized by the UNESCO World Higher Education Database.

Experience:
A minimum of two years of previous work experience is required, along with a suitable combination of knowledge, education, training, and skills to perform the essential functions of the position. Experience in a multicultural environment is preferred, as the role involves working with diverse groups and stakeholders. Candidates should also demonstrate computer literacy in standard software applications, which is essential for effective project management and reporting.

Languages:
Fluency in English and Greek is mandatory for this position, as these are the primary languages of communication within the project. Proficiency in additional languages, particularly French and Spanish, is considered beneficial and may enhance a candidate's application. Language skills will be evaluated during the selection process, which may include written and/or oral assessments to ensure candidates meet the necessary communication standards.
