Job Overview:
The internship program at the American Heart Association provides college students with a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a non-profit health organization. The intern will work closely with the Life is Why Consumer Team, contributing to campaigns aimed at increasing consumer engagement and driving goodwill in communities. The role requires a creative individual with a passion for design and a strong ability to communicate effectively. Duties and Responsibilities:
Interns will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including managing and designing content libraries, creating presentations and supplemental materials, and compiling case studies. They will assist in researching corporate briefs for targeted companies, conducting industry research on supporters and nonprofit trends, and providing support for meetings and events. Interns will also track campaign materials against budgets and manage library resources for contract intake forms. The role requires attention to detail and the ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders, ensuring that all projects are completed efficiently and effectively.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates should be seniors or graduate students pursuing degrees in Business, Marketing, Management, Graphic Design, or related fields. Proficiency in graphic design tools such as Canva and Adobe Creative Suite is preferred, along with strong skills in creating visually appealing presentations. Candidates must demonstrate excellent written and oral communication skills, the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and a professional demeanor when interacting with community leaders and volunteers. A reliable WiFi connection is required, and candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Educational Background:
The ideal educational background for this internship includes a focus on Business, Marketing, Management, Graphic Design, or similar fields. Candidates should have a strong foundation in graphic design principles and experience with presentation software, as well as familiarity with research methodologies relevant to the non-profit sector.

Experience:
While specific prior experience is not mandated, candidates should possess intermediate knowledge of design software and demonstrate a capacity for effective communication and project management.
