Job Overview:
The Human Resource Coordinator will play a crucial role in managing the human resources functions within the organization. This position involves overseeing recruitment processes, employee relations, performance management, and compliance with labor laws. The coordinator will be responsible for developing HR policies and procedures that align with the organization's mission and values. Additionally, the role requires the individual to provide support and guidance to staff on HR-related matters, ensuring a positive work environment and promoting employee engagement. The coordinator will also be involved in training and development initiatives to enhance the skills and capabilities of the workforce, contributing to the overall effectiveness of the organization.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Manage the recruitment process including job postings, screening applications, conducting interviews, and onboarding new employees.
  • Develop and implement HR policies and procedures to ensure compliance with local labor laws and organizational standards.
  • Provide guidance and support to staff on HR-related issues, including performance management and conflict resolution.
  • Coordinate training and development programs to enhance employee skills and promote professional growth.
  • Maintain employee records and ensure data accuracy in HR systems.
  • Monitor employee performance and facilitate performance appraisal processes.
  • Assist in the development of compensation and benefits programs to attract and retain talent.
  • Foster a positive organizational culture that promotes employee engagement and satisfaction.

Required Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in human resources management or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of labor laws and HR best practices.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
  • Proficiency in HR software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to HR challenges.

Educational Background:
A bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or a related field is required. A master's degree or professional HR certification (such as SHRM-CP or PHR) is preferred and may enhance the candidate's qualifications for the role.

Experience:
A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in human resources, with a focus on recruitment, employee relations, and performance management. Experience in the non-profit sector or working in humanitarian organizations is highly desirable.

Languages:
Fluency in Arabic and English is mandatory. Knowledge of additional languages spoken in Sudan is considered an asset and may enhance communication with diverse communities.
