Job Overview:
The Facilities Management Assistant plays a crucial role in supporting the operations of the Facilities and Environmental Management Unit within UNISFA. This position involves a variety of responsibilities, including planning, operations, and administrative tasks related to facility management. The assistant will be responsible for preparing shopping carts for necessary supplies, coordinating tasks among staff and contractors, and providing logistical support to both military and civilian personnel. The role requires effective communication and teamwork to ensure that all facility management operations run smoothly and efficiently. The Facilities Management Assistant must also monitor service contracts and ensure that maintenance and operational needs are met in a timely manner, contributing to the overall success of the mission's objectives.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The Facilities Management Assistant will undertake a wide range of duties, including but not limited to:
  • Planning: Preparing shopping carts for the Facilities and Environmental Management Unit, liaising with the Acquisition Management Unit, and establishing project plans considering manpower and resources.
  • Operations: Distributing tasks among staff and contractors, coordinating resources, monitoring ongoing processes, providing logistics support, conducting inspections, and reviewing contractor work.
  • Administration: Assisting the Chief of Section with ongoing projects, prioritizing incoming requests, drafting service contracts, and maintaining administrative files. The assistant will also document findings from audits and inspections, providing recommendations for corrective actions. This role requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to adapt to changing circumstances.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess thorough technical knowledge of facility management operations and demonstrate good adaptability skills.
