Job Overview: The main objective of the position is to implement community mobilization projects and combat menstrual poverty in collaboration with the Water, Hygiene, and Sanitation (EHA) project manager. The role involves organizing and executing activities aimed at reducing the economic, social, and health vulnerabilities faced by women living in precarious housing conditions during menstruation. This includes improving access to menstrual hygiene products and enhancing knowledge about women's health issues throughout their lives. The position also contributes to the overall promotion of hygiene and community mobilization efforts related to water and sanitation practices. The candidate will face challenges such as engaging with communities in extreme poverty and managing project development and partnerships effectively.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Implement community mobilization strategies to engage women living in degraded housing conditions.
Organize activities that address menstrual poverty and improve access to menstrual hygiene products.
Enhance community knowledge regarding women's health and hygiene issues.
Collaborate with local partners to improve sanitation and hygiene conditions in targeted areas.
Monitor and evaluate project indicators and activities to ensure effective implementation.
Excellent interpersonal skills for building relationships with partners, teams, and communities.
Strong writing skills for documentation and reporting purposes.
Ability to work autonomously and manage multiple tasks effectively.
Educational Background: Candidates should possess at least a Bac + 2 level of education or an equivalent qualification in a relevant field. This educational background should ideally be complemented by training or coursework related to humanitarian work, project management, or community development.
Experience: Candidates should have a minimum of 3-4 years of experience in the humanitarian sector, with a focus on community mobilization and project management. Experience in addressing issues related to menstrual poverty or working with marginalized communities is highly desirable. A previous role in a similar capacity would be advantageous.
Languages:
Proficiency in Romanian or Bulgarian is mandatory.
Knowledge of Albanian or additional proficiency in Bulgarian/Romanian is appreciated.
English language skills are also required to facilitate communication within the organization and with international partners.

The role is based in Toulouse, France. The salary for the position starts at EUR 2865 gross per month, depending on experience.
