Job Overview: The position of Especialista en Inteligencia de Mercado involves working under the supervision of the Project Manager (Health and Medicines). The specialist will be responsible for market intelligence activities related to health procurement. This includes developing tools for collecting accurate market data on prices of medicines, medical supplies, and services. The role requires collaboration with the regional Health Procurement Intelligence Unit to support market intelligence solutions. The specialist will also create decision-making tools for senior management and ensure that market intelligence processes are effectively implemented in Guatemala's health sector. Duties and Responsibilities:
Collaborate with the Health Procurement Intelligence Unit to support market intelligence solutions in health.
Develop tools for timely and accurate data collection on market prices for medicines, surgical materials, and medical services.
Create market intelligence tools to aid decision-making for senior management.
Establish processes and procedures for market intelligence in the health sector.
Collect data on prices, products, and suppliers, both local and international.
Ensure team members understand behavioral expectations and conduct performance reviews.
Participate in team selection and training as necessary.
Foster a culture of respect and zero tolerance for discrimination and abuse.
Ensure accountability for actions and adhere to protection mechanisms.
Educational Background: A master's degree in relevant fields such as Economics, Data Science, or Computer Science is required. Candidates with a bachelor's degree will be considered if they have additional relevant experience. The educational background should support the analytical and technical skills necessary for the role.
Experience: Candidates should have between 5 to 7 years of relevant work experience, depending on their academic qualifications. This experience should include data analysis and market intelligence research, particularly in the health sector within Latin America. Additionally, candidates should have at least 2 years of experience in statistical data analysis with a focus on health, applying data science techniques effectively.
Languages: Fluency in Spanish is mandatory, with advanced knowledge required. Intermediate proficiency in English is desirable but not mandatory. This language requirement ensures effective communication within the team and with external stakeholders.
Additional Notes: The contract type is as a Local/International Individual Contractor Agreement (ICS10 - LICA 10/IICA2).
