Job Overview:
The Sexual and Reproductive Health Analyst will play a crucial role in supporting UNFPA's mission by providing analytical and technical support to the implementation of sexual and reproductive health programs. This position requires a deep understanding of the challenges and opportunities in the field of sexual and reproductive health, as well as the ability to analyze data and trends to inform policy and programmatic decisions. The analyst will work closely with various stakeholders, including government agencies, NGOs, and community organizations, to ensure that programs are effectively designed and implemented to meet the needs of the population. The role also involves monitoring and evaluating program outcomes, contributing to reports and publications, and advocating for policies that promote sexual and reproductive health rights.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Conduct comprehensive analyses of sexual and reproductive health data to identify trends, gaps, and opportunities for program improvement.
  • Collaborate with national and local partners to design and implement effective sexual and reproductive health programs.
  • Monitor and evaluate program performance, providing recommendations for adjustments and improvements.
  • Prepare reports and presentations on program outcomes and best practices for dissemination to stakeholders.
  • Advocate for policies that support sexual and reproductive health rights and access to services.
  • Provide technical assistance and capacity building to partners in the implementation of sexual and reproductive health initiatives.
  • Stay informed about global and regional developments in sexual and reproductive health and integrate relevant findings into program strategies.

Required Qualifications:
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and translate findings into actionable recommendations.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage diverse audiences.
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Commitment to the principles of gender equality and human rights, with a focus on the needs of marginalized populations.

Educational Background:
A master's degree in public health, social sciences, or a related field is required. Additional training or certification in sexual and reproductive health is highly desirable.

Experience:
A minimum of 5 years of relevant professional experience in sexual and reproductive health, public health, or a related field is required. Experience working with international organizations or NGOs is an asset. Familiarity with the UN system and its policies on sexual and reproductive health is preferred.

Languages:
Fluency in English is mandatory. Proficiency in Portuguese is highly desirable, and knowledge of other UN languages is an asset.
