Job Overview:
The Grants and Reporting Coordinator will play a crucial role in managing and overseeing the grants process, ensuring compliance with donor requirements and organizational policies. This position involves coordinating the preparation of reports, proposals, and other documentation required for funding applications. The coordinator will work closely with program teams to gather necessary data and information, ensuring that all reports are accurate, timely, and meet the expectations of donors. Additionally, the role requires maintaining a comprehensive grants management system, tracking deadlines, and providing training and support to staff on grant management best practices. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the grant lifecycle and be able to communicate effectively with various stakeholders.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Manage the grants process from proposal development to reporting, ensuring compliance with donor requirements.
  • Coordinate the preparation of high-quality reports and proposals, working closely with program teams to gather necessary information.
  • Maintain a comprehensive grants management system, tracking deadlines and ensuring timely submission of reports.
  • Provide training and support to staff on grant management best practices and donor compliance.
  • Monitor and evaluate grant-funded projects, ensuring that objectives are met and reporting requirements are fulfilled.
  • Liaise with donors and partners to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
  • Conduct regular reviews of grant agreements and contracts to ensure compliance and identify any potential issues.
  • Assist in the development of budgets and financial reports related to grant funding.
  • Stay updated on donor policies and regulations, ensuring that the organization remains compliant. 1
  • Contribute to the overall strategic planning and development of the organization’s grant management processes.

Required Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in grant management, reporting, and proposal writing.
  • Strong understanding of donor compliance and regulations.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and grant management software.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.

Educational Background:
A bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as international development, public administration, or a related discipline is required. A master’s degree is preferred and may be considered an asset for this position.

Experience:
A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in grant management, reporting, or a related field is required. Experience working in a humanitarian or development context is highly desirable, particularly in the African or Middle Eastern regions.

Languages:
Fluency in English is mandatory. Knowledge of Arabic or other local languages is considered an asset and will be advantageous in this role.
