Job Overview:
The position of Coordinateur Logistique involves overseeing and managing logistical operations within the organization. This includes ensuring the efficient delivery of supplies and resources to various project sites, coordinating transportation, and managing inventory. The role requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to work under pressure. The Coordinateur Logistique will also be responsible for liaising with local suppliers and service providers to ensure that all logistical needs are met in a timely manner. Additionally, the position may involve training and supervising junior logistics staff, ensuring compliance with organizational policies and procedures, and contributing to the overall strategic planning of logistics operations.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Manage and oversee all logistical operations, including transportation, procurement, and inventory management.
  • Coordinate the movement of supplies and equipment to project sites, ensuring timely delivery.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with local suppliers and service providers.
  • Monitor and report on logistics expenditures and ensure adherence to budgetary constraints.
  • Implement and maintain inventory control systems to track supplies and equipment.
  • Train and supervise logistics staff, providing guidance and support as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with organizational policies and procedures related to logistics.
  • Participate in strategic planning for logistics operations and contribute to the development of logistics policies.

Required Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in logistics management or a related field.
  • Strong organizational and planning skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in using logistics software and tools.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Knowledge of local regulations and compliance requirements related to logistics.

Educational Background:
A bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, business administration, or a related field is required. Additional certifications in logistics or supply chain management are a plus.

Experience:
A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in logistics management or a similar role is required. Experience working in a humanitarian or development context is highly desirable.

Languages:
Fluency in French is mandatory, as it is the primary language of communication in Niger. Proficiency in English is considered an asset, as it may be required for communication with international stakeholders.
