Job Overview:
The Data Analyst Consultant position is designed to support the procurement process within UNCDF. The consultant will be responsible for analyzing data related to procurement activities, identifying trends, and providing insights that can enhance decision-making processes. The consultant will work closely with procurement teams to ensure that data-driven strategies are implemented effectively. The assignment period is from April 1, 2025, to August 30, 2025, and the consultant will be expected to deliver high-quality analysis and reports throughout this period.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Analyze procurement data to identify trends, patterns, and areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with procurement teams to develop data-driven strategies that enhance procurement efficiency.
  • Prepare detailed reports and presentations based on data analysis findings.
  • Provide recommendations for optimizing procurement processes based on analytical insights.
  • Ensure data integrity and accuracy in all procurement-related analyses.
  • Assist in the development of key performance indicators (KPIs) for procurement activities.
  • Support the implementation of new data management tools and systems as needed.
  • Conduct training sessions for procurement staff on data analysis techniques and tools.
  • Stay updated on best practices in procurement data analysis and reporting.

Required Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in data analysis, preferably in a procurement or financial context.
  • Strong proficiency in data analysis tools and software (e.g., Excel, SQL, R, Python).
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to communicate complex data findings in a clear and concise manner.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
  • Experience working with international organizations or in a multicultural environment is an advantage.

Educational Background:
A bachelor's degree in data science, statistics, economics, business administration, or a related field is required. A master's degree in a relevant discipline is preferred and may be considered an asset for this position.

Experience:
The position requires a minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience in data analysis, with a focus on procurement or financial analysis. Experience working with international organizations or in a consulting capacity is highly desirable.

Languages:
Fluency in English is mandatory. Knowledge of additional languages, particularly French or Spanish, is considered an asset and may enhance the candidate's profile.
