Job Overview: The position of Deliverable-Based Individual Consultancy Services for Social Development Expert involves providing expert consultancy services aimed at enhancing social development initiatives. This role requires a deep understanding of social development issues, including but not limited to poverty alleviation, gender equality, and community engagement. The assignment is set to take place from February 2025 to January 2028, indicating a long-term commitment to social development in the region.
Duties and Responsibilities: The consultant will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including conducting assessments of social development needs, designing and implementing programs, providing technical assistance to local partners, and monitoring and evaluating the impact of initiatives. Specific duties may include:
Conducting comprehensive analyses of social issues affecting communities in Turkey.
Collaborating with government agencies, NGOs, and community organizations to foster partnerships.
Preparing detailed reports and presentations on findings and recommendations.
Facilitating workshops and training sessions for stakeholders.
Ensuring that all deliverables meet UNDP's quality standards and timelines.
Engaging in continuous learning and adaptation of strategies based on feedback and changing circumstances.
Required Qualifications: Candidates must possess a strong background in social development, with proven experience in consultancy roles. A thorough understanding of the socio-economic landscape of Turkey is essential. Additionally, candidates should demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders. Familiarity with UNDP's operational procedures and frameworks will be considered an asset. Candidates should also exhibit excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively convey complex information to various audiences.
Educational Background: A master's degree or higher in social sciences, development studies, public policy, or a related field is required. Candidates with additional certifications in project management or social development will be preferred. A strong academic background that demonstrates a commitment to understanding social issues and development practices is essential.
Experience: A minimum of 5 years of relevant professional experience in social development, consultancy, or related fields is required.
