Job Overview: The position of Consultor/a para transferencia metodológica involves overseeing and coordinating the transfer of methodologies related to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) Value Chains Programme. The consultant will provide technical assistance to Country Offices throughout all phases of implementation, training, and adaptation of methodologies in various countries where the transfer process is initiated. This role is crucial for ensuring that national capacities are built effectively and that strategies are scalable, contributing to the overall mission of UNDP in promoting sustainable development. The consultant will work remotely and is expected to engage with multiple stakeholders to facilitate the successful transfer of methodologies, ensuring that they are tailored to the specific contexts of the countries involved.
Duties and Responsibilities: The consultant will be responsible for the following duties and responsibilities:
Supervise and coordinate the transfer of methodologies related to the SDGs Value Chains Programme.
Provide technical assistance to Country Offices during the implementation phases.
Conduct training sessions for local teams to ensure effective understanding and application of methodologies.
Adapt methodologies to fit the specific needs and contexts of different countries.
Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of the transferred methodologies and make necessary adjustments.
Collaborate with various stakeholders, including government agencies, NGOs, and community organizations, to facilitate the transfer process.
Prepare reports and documentation on the progress of the transfer initiatives.
Participate in meetings and workshops to share insights and best practices related to capacity building and strategy scalability.
Required Qualifications: Candidates must possess the following qualifications:
Proven experience in capacity building and methodology transfer in the context of sustainable development.
Familiarity with the UNDP's operational procedures and guidelines is an advantage.
Educational Background: A Master's degree in a relevant field such as international development, public policy, social sciences, or a related discipline is required. Additional certifications in project management or capacity building methodologies will be considered an asset.
Experience: A minimum of 5 years of professional experience in the field of capacity building, methodology transfer, or related areas is required. Experience working with international organizations, particularly in the context of the UN, is highly desirable. Candidates should demonstrate a track record of successful project implementation and stakeholder engagement.
Languages: Fluency in Spanish is mandatory, as the position requires communication with Spanish-speaking stakeholders. Proficiency in English is also required, and knowledge of additional languages such as French or Portuguese would be considered an asset.
Additional Notes: This position is a long-term agreement for individual consultants, with a duration of 3 years and a maximum of 660 days at the end of the period. The estimated start date is February 202
