Job Overview: The internship-position" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">internship position is situated within the Enterprise Risk Management Section of the Accountability Service in the Business Transformation and Accountability Division (BTAD) of the Department of Management Strategy, Policy and Compliance (DMSPC). The primary focus of this internship is to assist in the implementation of enterprise risk management across the global Secretariat of the United Nations. Interns will engage in various tasks that contribute to the overall objectives of the organization, including conducting research on enterprise risk management and internal control systems, establishing and managing internal databases, and providing support during consultative meetings and conferences. The role is designed to be full-time, with the possibility of part-time or hybrid arrangements based on the intern's availability. The internship is expected to last between four to six months, starting as soon as possible.
Duties and Responsibilities: The intern will be responsible for a range of duties, including but not limited to: 1) Conducting thorough research on issues related to enterprise risk management and internal control systems to support the UN's objectives. 2) Establishing and maintaining internal databases that manage data relevant to various programme and project activities. 3) Providing logistical and administrative support during consultative meetings, conferences, and other events. 4) Assisting in the development and maintenance of websites and other outreach materials to promote the work of the Enterprise Risk Management Section. 5) Performing additional duties as required by the supervisor to ensure the smooth operation of the section and its initiatives.
Required Qualifications: No prior working experience is necessary to apply for this internship. However, applicants should possess relevant training, education, or advanced coursework that would benefit the United Nations during their internship. The following qualifications are required: - Candidates must be enrolled in, or have completed, a graduate school programme (second university degree or equivalent, or higher). - Candidates must also be enrolled in, or have completed, the final academic year of a first university degree programme (minimum bachelor's degree or equivalent).
Educational Background: Candidates must have a strong educational background, which includes being enrolled in or having completed a graduate programme or the final year of an undergraduate programme. This educational requirement ensures that interns possess the necessary theoretical knowledge and skills to contribute effectively to the UN's mission during their internship.
