Job Overview: The ICT Officer position at NRC involves providing essential technical support and management of ICT services within the Rakhine Area Office. Duties and Responsibilities: The ICT Officer will have a range of duties and responsibilities, including but not limited to: adhering to NRC policies and guidelines; assisting with the implementation of the support function portfolio; preparing status reports for management; ensuring proper filing of documents; promoting ideas for improvement; providing general ICT maintenance support; offering technical support for ICT equipment procurement; updating asset and inventory records; troubleshooting system and network problems; maintaining ICT equipment and network; ensuring compliance with security guidelines; coordinating the creation of new email addresses; providing technical support to field offices; advising on IT needs and participating in procurement processes; monitoring physical asset checks; ensuring newly purchased ICT items are registered; coordinating with ICT colleagues for updates; and assisting with any operational needs as requested by supervisors.
Required Qualifications: Candidates for the ICT Officer position must possess the following qualifications: a minimum of 2 years of experience working as an ICT Officer in a humanitarian or recovery context; previous experience in complex and volatile environments; documented results related to the responsibilities of the position; and a strong understanding of their own skills and profile. Additionally, candidates should demonstrate fluency in English and possess context-related skills and knowledge relevant to the specific position.
Educational Background: The educational background required for the ICT Officer position includes a degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
