Job Overview: The ICLA Technical Assistant position is a crucial role within the NRC, primarily focused on providing support to the ICLA Team Leader and Technical Officer. The position is based in the Dawei Field Office and involves significant travel, estimated at 80%. The ICLA Technical Assistant will be responsible for assisting in the implementation of NRC's Information, Counselling, and Legal Assistance (ICLA) program, which aims to provide legal support and information to individuals affected by displacement. Duties and Responsibilities: The ICLA Technical Assistant will have a range of duties and responsibilities, including but not limited to:
Supporting the ICLA Team Leader in the planning and implementation of ICLA activities in the Dawei region.
Conducting outreach activities to raise awareness about the ICLA program and the services offered by NRC.
Providing information and legal assistance to beneficiaries, ensuring that they understand their rights and available support options.
Collaborating with local authorities and other stakeholders to facilitate access to legal services for displaced individuals.
Assisting in the development of training materials and conducting training sessions for staff and volunteers on ICLA-related topics.
Monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness of ICLA activities and providing feedback for improvement.
Maintaining accurate records of beneficiary interactions and program activities, ensuring compliance with NRC's reporting requirements.
Participating in team meetings and contributing to the overall strategic direction of the ICLA program.
Upholding NRC's safeguarding policies and ensuring a safe environment for all beneficiaries and staff.
Required Qualifications: Candidates applying for the ICLA Technical Assistant position should possess the following qualifications:

Languages: Fluency in Burmese is mandatory for this position, as it is essential for effective communication with beneficiaries. Proficiency in English is also required, as it is necessary for reporting and collaboration with international staff. Knowledge of additional local languages would be considered an asset.
Additional Notes: This position is based in Dawei, Myanmar, and involves significant travel within the region, approximately 80% of the time. The role is full-time and may require flexibility in working hours to accommodate the needs of the program.
