Job Overview:
The Field Monitor position at CTG involves working under the direct supervision of the TPM Team Leader. The role is crucial for ensuring that the most vulnerable populations affected by crises are accurately assessed and monitored. Field monitors will be responsible for conducting post-beneficiary assessment verifications and spot-checks to ensure compliance with established criteria by the World Food Programme (WFP). They will visit distribution sites to monitor food delivery, quality, quantity, and storage conditions, and will also conduct various forms of monitoring related to WFP project activities. This position requires collaboration with multiple stakeholders, including WFP Field Office, cooperating partners, and local communities, to ensure effective program implementation and compliance with WFP standards.
Duties and Responsibilities:
The duties and responsibilities of the Field Monitor include:
- Conducting post-beneficiary assessment verifications and spot-checks to ensure that vulnerable populations are selected according to WFP criteria.
- Visiting distribution sites to monitor the delivery of food, ensuring quality, quantity, and proper storage conditions.
- Conducting activity monitoring, distribution monitoring, and post-distribution monitoring (PDM) of all WFP project activities.
- Providing photographic evidence of infrastructure developed or rehabilitated in Cash/Food Assistance for Assets (C/FFA) projects.
- Following up on compliance issues related to food/cash diversions and misuse of WFP resources.
- Conducting data collection for program support, including security" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">security" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">food security assessments and market functionality indices.
- Submitting periodic field monitoring reports through WFP’s corporate tools.
- Undertaking additional activities related to WFP TPM interventions as requested.
