Job Overview: The position of Registry within the ICC involves supporting the Library, Archives, and Legacy team as part of the Information Management Unit. Duties and Responsibilities: The duties and responsibilities of the Registry position include assisting the Library team in providing reference and circulation services to Court members. This involves conducting in-depth research and analysis, creating library guides, updating the intranet/internet, and delivering training. The candidate will help library patrons with bibliographic research, respond to inquiries via email, phone, and in person, process inter-library loan requests, and locate online journal articles. Additionally, the role includes supporting cataloguing and classification workflows, archiving digital objects, carrying out circulation tasks such as borrowing and renewing items, and recording library statistics.
Required Qualifications: Candidates must possess a degree in information science, library science, information management, or a related field from a recognized university, with a strong academic record. The position requires a service-oriented attitude, a genuine interest in international law, particularly international criminal law, and legal research. Candidates should demonstrate strong teamwork skills and the ability to adapt to multicultural and multilingual environments. Proficiency in computer skills, including Microsoft Office applications, is essential.
Educational Background: A degree in information science, library science, information management, or a related field is required. Candidates are expected to have a very good academic performance record, which reflects their capability to handle the responsibilities of the position effectively.
Experience: Candidates must have at least three years of relevant professional experience in fields related to information management or library services. Practical experience that aligns with the work of the ICC is considered an asset. The position is particularly suited for information professionals seeking to gain experience in foreign, comparative, and international law librarianship.

Additional Notes: The contract duration for this position is six months, with a full-time commitment required. The ICC does not provide remuneration for all participants in the Internship and Visiting Professional Programme, nor does it reimburse expenses incurred during the placement.
