The consultancy aims to support the organization and execution of the 'Freedom of Expression 2024' event, which will take place in Guatemala City on December 14, 2024, in observance of International Human Rights Day. Duties and Responsibilities:
The consultant will be responsible for several key areas:
  • Curatorship and artistic management, which includes selecting, calling, and contracting artists and bands for the event, ensuring their participation aligns with the event's objectives and target audience.
  • Technical production management and supervision, coordinating with suppliers for necessary technical equipment, overseeing the construction of infrastructure, and managing essential services such as catering.
  • Logistical production, which involves developing comprehensive plans for equipment setup, rehearsals, sound checks, and overall event scheduling.
  • Marketing and communication, coordinating the creation and dissemination of promotional materials and managing media and social media advertising to ensure optimal visibility of the event.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a university degree in fields related to event production, cultural management, music, communication, arts, or related professions, preferably with specialization in one of these areas. They should have knowledge and experience in human rights and proven experience in large-scale event management, particularly in coordinating concerts or cultural activities, with at least three years of experience in similar roles such as artistic curation, technical production, or logistics of live events.
