Duties and Responsibilities: The duties and responsibilities of the National Vice President Programs, NextGen include:
Developing and directing the implementation of an organization-wide strategic plan and goals for a significant Mission-based portfolio of products and/or programs.
Establishing performance metrics for critical portfolio operational plans to measure achievement and success.
Leading Portfolio Advisors to create cross-Association working groups to plan, review progress, identify issues, and ensure coordinated work to accomplish portfolio goals.
Guiding and directing a matrix team in plan execution to assure integrated and cohesive results.
Acting as the key point of contact for national partners and representing the organization externally on issues related to the assigned portfolio audience at the national level.
Providing senior leadership with recommendations for resource development and project priorities.
Facilitating portfolio projects with Development (National Corporate Relations, Field Corporate Relations, and Mission Advancement) to secure resources to execute portfolio strategies.
Required Qualifications: The required qualifications for the National Vice President Programs, NextGen position include:
An MBA, MPH, or Master of Science in a related field.
A minimum of twelve (12) to sixteen (16) years of experience in developing business models and operational plans.
At least ten (10) years of experience managing subject matter experts and operations managers.
A minimum of ten (10) years of experience in program development, planning, and management.
Eight (8) years of experience in public health or non-profit services.
Educational Background: Candidates for this position should possess an advanced degree, specifically an MBA, MPH, or Master of Science in a related field. This educational background is essential for understanding the complexities of health programs and the strategic planning required for successful implementation.
