Job Overview:
The Protection Officer position is crucial for the planning, monitoring, evaluation, and follow-up of protection issues affecting Palestine refugees in the Southern West Bank, including refugee camps and areas impacted by military incursions and settler violence. The incumbent will conduct frequent field visits to assess and report on protection conditions, manage protection cases, and implement community outreach activities. The role requires a proactive approach to mobilizing community support and coordinating with various UNRWA programs to enhance refugees' access to services. The Protection Officer will also be responsible for preparing monitoring reports on security" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">security incidents and humanitarian issues, conducting rapid assessments, and formulating action plans. Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Assist in planning, monitoring, evaluation, and follow-up on all protection issues within the refugee community in Southern West Bank.
  • Conduct frequent field visits to assess and report on protection conditions in communities at risk of displacement.
  • Conduct rapid assessments and formulate plans of action.
  • Recommend protection cash payments for victims based on eligibility criteria.
  • Manage protection cases and provide progress reports, making referrals to specialized services as needed.
  • Conduct field visits to assess needs and damages in families affected by military actions.
  • Prepare monitoring reports on security incidents and humanitarian issues.
  • Collect data about beneficiaries from various sources.

Additional Notes:

A driver's license is considered a plus.
