Job Overview:
The position of Chargé(e) de Comptabilité Internationale involves supporting the analysis and justification of donor receivables, intercompany flows, and the accounting for the countries where ACF operates. The role requires implementing legal accounting processes and ACF-defined procedures for the cycles under direct responsibility, ensuring compliance with procedures, completeness of information, and necessary validations. The individual will analyze, record, establish, and classify accounting documents, validate payment proposals after analyzing accounts and supporting documents, and communicate these to the Deputy International Accounting Manager. Regular management of cycles, including analysis, semi-annual reviews, and justifications to auditors, is also a key responsibility. The role includes producing indicators on the accounting and financial situation within the assigned scope and preparing revision files during closures, including analysis, entries, and supporting documents. The Chargé(e) will present files to auditors and respond to any inquiries from them or the Audit Service. Additionally, the role involves contributing to the smooth operation of the service by optimizing tools and procedures and supporting other activities, as well as updating procedural guides and operational methods.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Implement legal accounting processes and ACF-defined procedures for the cycles under direct responsibility and occasionally for others.
  • Ensure compliance with procedures, completeness of information, and necessary validations.
  • Analyze, record, establish, and classify accounting documents.
  • Validate payment proposals after analyzing accounts and supporting documents and communicate them to the Deputy International Accounting Manager.
  • Manage cycles within the assigned scope, including regular analysis, semi-annual reviews, and justifications to auditors.
  • Conduct regular follow-ups on accounts, control, communicate with ACF France services and external contacts, propose adjustments, and correct anomalies.
  • Produce indicators on the accounting and financial situation within the assigned scope.
  • Prepare revision files during closures, including analysis, entries, and supporting documents, and pass regularization entries.
  • Present files to auditors and respond to any inquiries from them or the Audit Service. 1
  • Contribute to the smooth operation of the service by optimizing tools and procedures and supporting other activities. 1
  • Assist in the evolution of tools and working methods and update procedural guides and operational methods. 1
  • Provide backup support for certain activities as needed and according to the backup organization decided within the service.

Required Qualifications:
The ideal candidate should hold a qualification in Finance, such as a BTS in Accounting Management, and possess at least 2 years of professional experience in a similar role. Experience in the non-profit sector would be an advantage. The candidate should be recognized for their organizational skills, rigor, and diplomacy. They should demonstrate good listening skills and the ability to adapt quickly, while also being firm when necessary and motivated by teamwork. Proficiency in computer tools and a good level of English are also required.

Educational Background:
Candidates must have a background in Finance, specifically a BTS in Accounting Management or an equivalent qualification. This educational foundation is essential for understanding the complexities of international accounting and financial management within a non-governmental organization.

Experience:
A minimum of 2 years of professional experience in a similar accounting role is required. Experience in the non-profit sector is considered a plus, as it provides valuable insights into the unique challenges and requirements of accounting in humanitarian contexts.

Languages:
Fluency in French is mandatory, and a good level of English is also required. Proficiency in additional languages would be considered an asset, enhancing communication capabilities within the international context of the organization.

Additional Notes:
The position is classified as a cadre integrated role with a fixed-term contract (CDD) lasting 6 months. It is located in the Île-de-France region, with a salary range of €37,000 to €44,000 gross annually, depending on experience. Employees are entitled to 21 days of RTT (reduced working time), health coverage with 80% covered by ACF, salary maintenance provisions for illness, maternity, and paternity, and transport allowances covering 50% of the commuting costs. Additionally, there are meal vouchers with 60% coverage by the organization. ACF offers unlimited and free access to the Talensoft e-learning platform for training.
