Job Overview:
The Sr Technology Coordinator plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of technology services within the American Heart Association. This position is responsible for configuring, imaging, and supporting client computing for both on-site and remote staff. The coordinator will assist with PC provisioning, maintain desktop computers, and support application updates and troubleshooting for end users. The role requires a proactive approach to responding to Technology Service Desk requests and providing support during AHA events. The coordinator will also be involved in managing client operating systems and application installations, ensuring that all technology services meet established standards and customer service expectations. This position is vital for maintaining operational efficiency and enhancing the overall technology experience for AHA staff.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Deploy and support desktop and client computing to enhance organizational efficiency while maintaining high customer service standards.
  • Order, configure, image, and maintain personal computer systems for delivery to clients throughout the organization.
  • Respond to Technology Service Desk tickets, troubleshoot issues, and provide solutions within established service level agreements.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to customer service by anticipating needs and resolving problems quickly and effectively.
  • Coordinate technology support for AHA events as per business requirements.
  • Analyze current processes and recommend modifications or new tools to improve operational efficiencies.
  • Manage client operating systems, application installations, and troubleshoot security" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">security and application issues for client computers.
  • Identify common issues and trends, providing feedback and action plans to supervisors.
  • Participate in hardware and imaging teams to maintain client computing standards. 1
  • Provide coverage for team members during their absence to ensure continuous support delivery.

Required Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in providing technology support for personal computing, including application updates and tier-1 troubleshooting.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with staff and stakeholders.
  • Strong ability to meet service level agreements and deliver exceptional customer service.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft software configuration and support is essential.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and adapt to changing priorities.

Educational Background:
A high school diploma is required, with a preference for candidates holding an associate's degree or higher in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. Relevant certifications in technology support or systems administration are a plus.

Experience:
Candidates should have a minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a technology support role, specifically in desktop support or client computing environments. Experience in a non-profit or healthcare setting is advantageous but not mandatory.

Languages:
English is the mandatory language for this position. Proficiency in additional languages is considered a plus, as it may enhance communication with diverse staff and stakeholders.

This is a full-time position based at the American Heart Association's National Center office in Dallas, TX.
