Job Description
The USAID-funded RISE II WSR project in Niger and Burkina Faso, implemented by Tetra Tech International Development (www.tetratech.com/intdev) is currently accepting expressions of interest for a Reporting Specialist Consultant. This consultancy will be located in either Niamey, Niger; Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso, or remotely from Consultant’s home of record.
RISE II – Water security" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">Security and Resilience Activity (TerresEauVie) is a five-year cooperative agreement funded by U.S. Agency for International Development’s (USAID) as an associate award under the Sustainable Water Partnership (SWP). The prime recipient under this cooperative agreement is Winrock, with Tetra Tech as a sub-recipient. The TerresEauVie activity is implemented across 15 communes in the Centre-Nord, Est, and Sahel regions of Burkina Faso. TerresEauVie promotes transformative approaches to building resilient systems that enable national and local actors to negotiate more equitable access to land and water resources while at the same time providing services to strengthen the capacity of communities and households to recover from climate, geopolitical, and market shocks with the strength to pursue sustainable livelihoods. TerresEauVie focuses on improving equitable access to water, land, and natural resources for marginalized people, including women, youth, that are less represented in leadership roles in villages and local institutions. TerresEauVie is implemented through three components. * Improved water security. * Enhanced sustainable productive land use. * Improved management of shocks, risks and stresses. Tetra Tech supports Result 1 activities through technical advisory services and leads Result 2 activities to promote enhanced sustainable productive land use. Position Description/Summary: The objective of this assignment is to provide short term technical assistance in support of reporting deliverables of Tetra Tech’s RISE II activity sub agreement. compile component 2 activity, progress and issues, and edit and translate (English) this information into draft reports for submission to the Tetra Tech Project Management Team (PMT). Responsibilities: *Prepare bi-weekly updates and hold periodic conversations with TEV Niger and Burkina Faso teams. *Monitor advancements and challenges around implementation of Component II work plan for Niger and Burkina Faso. *Communicate regularly with TEV Niger and Burkina Faso teams, Winrock, and Tetra Tech Home Office Land Tenure/Conflict Specialist. *Provide guidance to TEV Burkina Faso & Niger teams on specific needs to develop solutions and support implementing activities necessary to achieve project overall goals and deliverables. *Hold bi-weekly calls with TEV Burkina Faso and Niger teams; assist in completion of goals tracking forms; and submit updates and performance reports to Tetra Tech PMT. *Compile Component II activity progress reports. *Edit and translate (French into English) information for reports and other inputs into monthly documents for submission to the Tetra Tech PMT. *Conduct project activity site visits to Niger and Burkina Faso, considering security concerns, developing travel planning in activity-specific Scopes of Work (SOWs). *Develop success stories and submit activity briefs following project site visits. Qualifications: *M.S. or M.A. degree in international affairs, international development, humanitarian action, business administration, monitoring and evaluation, or other relevant field. *5 years professional experience in similar roles in Central and West Africa. *Fluency in French required; fluency in English preferred. *Knowledge and experience with USAID project reporting desired.
