Job Overview:
The Chef de Projet de Services Logistiques will work under the responsibility of the Operations Manager and will contribute to the implementation of the mandate and strategy of Humanity & Inclusion within their country of assignment. This role is crucial for ensuring the quality and impact of the project through effective delegation and appropriate control mechanisms. The project aims to enhance humanitarian logistics in Uvira, particularly in response to the ongoing humanitarian crisis exacerbated by armed conflicts and logistical challenges. The Chef de Projet will oversee the operationalization of a shared storage capacity in Uvira, facilitating the cross-docking, contingency, and pre-positioning of humanitarian supplies. This position is vital for establishing HI as a major logistical player in the region, addressing the pressing needs for transport and storage in a context of chronic insecurity and humanitarian demands.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The main responsibilities of the Chef de Projet include: 1) Management: Overseeing project teams and ensuring effective communication and collaboration among team members. 2) Strategy and Steering: Developing and implementing project strategies in alignment with HI's global standards and technical norms. 3) Operational Implementation: Ensuring the project is executed according to the logical framework and budget, maintaining continuity and compliance with existing frameworks. 4) Emergency Preparedness and Response: Supervising warehouse management, coordinating transport operations, and ensuring adherence to safety protocols. Specific duties include managing storage allocations, conducting periodic inventories, planning and coordinating convoys for humanitarian partners, and collecting and analyzing transport and storage data. The Chef de Projet will also be responsible for maintaining relationships with partner organizations and ensuring accountability through feedback mechanisms.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess at least 2 years of professional experience in the transport sector, with a strong preference for those with project management experience. Additionally, a minimum of 1 year of team management experience is required.
