This role combines administrative tasks with practical follow-up in the field, making it essential for the smooth operation of services such as Goods Reception, Internal Delivery, Stores, Storage, and Mail Services. The successful candidate will also be involved in collecting operational data, reporting, and monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs) to enhance the efficiency of logistics operations.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Support day-to-day logistics operations, including inventory management and process optimization.
Coordinate operations-related projects and activities in the field with various stakeholders and contractors, ensuring follow-up on agreed actions.
Monitor and follow up on logistics infrastructure-related tasks, contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.
Collect supply chain operational data and assist in reporting and KPI monitoring.
Collaborate with team members and other departments to ensure seamless logistics services are provided to the CERN community.
Engage in practical follow-up of operational activities in the field, ensuring that all logistics services are delivered effectively and efficiently.
Maintain good organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and coordinate activities with different stakeholders.
Utilize MS Office tools to support administrative tasks and reporting requirements.
Required Qualifications:
First experience in Operations, Logistics, Supply Chain, or a related field, supporting day-to-day operational activities.
Exposure to inventory management, process optimization, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Strong interest in combining administrative tasks with practical follow-up of operational activities in the field.
Knowledge of logistics, warehouse, or inventory management processes, with a keen interest in operational excellence.
Good organizational skills and ability to coordinate activities with various stakeholders.
Proficient in MS Office tools, with strong interpersonal and team collaboration skills.
Spoken and written English or French, with a commitment to learn the other language.
Educational Background: Candidates must hold a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Supply Chain or a related field. Applicants without a university degree are not eligible, and those with a PhD are also not eligible for this position. The educational background should be relevant to the logistics and operations field, ensuring that the candidate has the necessary theoretical knowledge to support practical applications in the role.
Experience: Candidates should have a maximum of two years of professional experience since graduation. This experience should be relevant to the field of operations, logistics, or supply chain management, demonstrating the ability to support day-to-day operational activities effectively. The position is suitable for recent graduates or those with limited experience looking to develop their careers in logistics and operations.
