Job Overview:
The director" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">Deputy Director of Corporate Partnerships plays a crucial role in supporting private fundraising and partnership development aligned with Prosper Global's strategic priorities as outlined in the Pathway to Prosperity (P2P). This position involves managing relationships with corporate partners and prospects, developing partnership strategies, and ensuring effective communication and project management. The Deputy Director will work closely with Directors on the corporate partnerships team to advance strategic partnerships with top donors and influencers. The ideal candidate will possess strong relationship management skills, a solid understanding of Prosper Global's programming, and trends in philanthropy, along with excellent written and verbal communication abilities. The role requires a proactive approach to project management and the ability to navigate complex corporate environments to secure funding and support for the organization’s mission.
Duties and Responsibilities:
The Deputy Director will be responsible for managing a portfolio of corporate partners and prospects, creating partnership strategies to secure new funding and renewals, and overseeing the donor lifecycle from business development to ongoing stewardship. This includes writing and editing proposals, pitch decks, and other fundraising materials, as well as developing stewardship materials such as program updates and formal reports. The Deputy Director will also support employee engagement projects in collaboration with the Employee Impact team, maintain donor and prospect records in the CRM system, and coordinate with various internal teams to align program needs with potential funders. Additionally, the Deputy Director will represent Prosper Global in external meetings and events, prepare briefing materials, and maintain a comprehensive understanding of the organization’s strategic priorities and partnerships.
Required Qualifications:
Candidates should have a proven ability to manage projects and competing priorities, with at least 5 years of increasing responsibility in corporate fundraising or corporate social responsibility preferred. Strong oral and written communication skills are essential, along with the ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional global environment. A solid understanding of international aid and development, as well as corporate decision-making processes, is preferred. The candidate should demonstrate emotional intelligence and the ability to build trust quickly with stakeholders.
Educational Background:
A bachelor’s degree in a relevant field is required, with a preference for candidates holding advanced degrees in areas such as business, nonprofit management, or international relations. Educational qualifications should reflect a strong foundation in fundraising, corporate partnerships, or related disciplines.
Experience:
The position requires significant experience in corporate fundraising or corporate social responsibility, with a strong preference for candidates who have demonstrated success in managing relationships with corporate partners and securing philanthropic support. Experience in project management and a track record of working effectively in cross-cultural environments are also important.
Languages:
Fluency in English is mandatory, and proficiency in additional languages is considered a plus, particularly for candidates who will be engaging with diverse stakeholders across different regions.
Additional Notes:
This is a full-time, exempt position based in the United States, with the flexibility to work remotely. The role may require up to 10% travel to support prospect and partnership development.
