Job Overview:
CIMMYT is seeking an outstanding, self-motivated, and results-oriented professional for the position of Auxiliar de Alojamiento to work in the Hospitality area within the Corporate Services Program of CIMMYT. The position is located at the CIMMYT campus in Texcoco, State of Mexico, which is situated 45 km northeast of Mexico City. The Auxiliar de Alojamiento will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and hygiene in various accommodation areas, including rooms and bathrooms, ensuring that all tasks are performed quickly and discreetly under the supervision of their manager. This role is crucial in providing a welcoming and comfortable environment for guests and residents, contributing to the overall hospitality experience at CIMMYT.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The primary responsibilities of the Auxiliar de Alojamiento include: performing cleaning duties in various accommodation areas, including rooms and bathrooms, quickly and discreetly as directed by the supervisor; ensuring the cleanliness of dormitories, apartments, and houses; cleaning and disinfecting bathrooms; making beds and changing linens; cleaning common areas of dormitories; reporting any maintenance issues, damage, or missing items to the supervisor; sending dirty laundry to the laundry service and operating laundry equipment or assisting staff with this task as required by the immediate supervisor; reporting necessary materials and utensils for the job, as well as maintenance needs for assigned areas; providing general support to guests and residents; and performing any other activities assigned by the immediate supervisor.

Required Qualifications:
The ideal candidate for the Auxiliar de Alojamiento position must have at least a primary education level. Previous experience in a similar role is required. Knowledge of the English language is an advantage. The candidate must also demonstrate the following competencies: teamwork, proactivity in interpersonal relationships in a productive space, and service orientation. Additionally, the candidate must be available to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as directed by the supervisor.

Educational Background:
The educational background required for this position is a minimum of primary education. This foundational level of education is essential for understanding and executing the responsibilities associated with the role effectively.

Experience:
Candidates should possess relevant experience in a similar position, demonstrating their ability to perform the required cleaning and hospitality tasks efficiently. Previous experience in a hospitality or accommodation setting will be beneficial for this role, as it involves direct interaction with guests and maintaining high standards of cleanliness and service.

Languages:
Knowledge of the English language is mandatory, as it represents an advantage in this role. While proficiency in Spanish is likely assumed given the location and context, English language skills will enhance communication with a diverse range of guests and staff.
