Job Overview:
The Assistant Human Resources position is designed to provide comprehensive administrative and operational support to the Human Resources functions within the IFRC. The incumbent will be responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely implementation of various HR processes, including recruitment, employee administration, onboarding, payroll support, records management, and staff separation. This role requires maintaining HR data and personnel records in compliance with organizational standards and procedures. The position holder will also play a crucial role in supporting the delivery of efficient HR services through effective record management and stakeholder coordination, contributing to the overall smooth functioning of HR operations. Additionally, the Assistant will provide administrative support to the Administration team as needed, ensuring that all HR-related tasks are executed effectively and efficiently.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The duties and responsibilities of the Assistant Human Resources position are divided into two main categories: Human Resources (80%) and Administration (20%). Under Human Resources, the incumbent will provide administrative support for recruitment and selection activities, including preparing vacancy announcements, arranging interviews, collecting candidate documentation, supporting reference checks, and preparing offer letters and contracts. They will maintain recruitment trackers and update records in the Lumesse system, ensuring compliance with established procedures. The HR Administration responsibilities include preparing HR documentation such as employment contracts and consultancy agreements, maintaining personnel files, and assisting with onboarding arrangements. The Assistant will also contribute to HR-related internal and external communication, assist with the preparation and distribution of HR communication materials, and support the maintenance of HR documentation and administrative procedures. In the Administration category, the Assistant will prepare travel orders for international staff, liaise with service providers for identification cards, and support the Admin Team in maintaining accurate records and documentation.

Required Qualifications:
The position requires a university degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, Economics, or a relevant field. A professional qualification in HR and registration with a professional HR body is preferred. Candidates should possess 1 to 3 years of experience in Human Resources, Office Administration, or relevant office support areas, with experience in facilitating recruitment and onboarding processes and handling confidential information. A basic understanding of Turkish law" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">Labour Law and employment-related regulations is preferred, along with experience working for the Red Cross and Red Crescent or with governmental and international non-governmental organizations.

Educational Background:
Candidates must have a university degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field. A professional HR qualification and registration with a professional HR body are preferred qualifications that enhance a candidate's profile for this position.

Experience:
The ideal candidate should have between 1 to 3 years of relevant experience in Human Resources, Office Administration, or similar office support roles. Experience in facilitating recruitment and onboarding processes is essential, as is the ability to handle confidential information responsibly. Preferred candidates will have a basic understanding of Turkish Labour Law and experience working with the Red Cross and Red Crescent or other governmental and international organizations.

Languages:
Fluency in spoken and written English and Turkish is mandatory for this position. Additionally, a good command of another IFRC official language, such as French, Spanish, or Arabic, is considered a valuable asset that can enhance communication and collaboration within the organization.
