Job Overview: The Junior Land Consolidation Specialist will play a crucial role in the UTF/GEO/034/GEO-F project, which is focused on formulating and designing land consolidation strategies in Georgia. This position is integral to the successful implementation of land consolidation activities that aim to enhance agricultural productivity and sustainability. The specialist will work closely with various stakeholders, including local landowners, legal specialists, and project teams, to ensure that land consolidation efforts are effectively integrated with irrigation rehabilitation initiatives under the World Bank's GRAIL Project. The overarching goal is to create a fully operational land consolidation instrument that will lead to improved agricultural production, efficient land use, and strengthened land rights, particularly for women. The role requires a combination of technical expertise in administration" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">land administration and strong communication skills to facilitate collaboration among diverse groups.
Duties and Responsibilities: The Junior Land Consolidation Specialist will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including but not limited to: providing technical and operational support for the implementation of land consolidation activities under the GRAIL project; collecting, reviewing, and processing land and property registry data relevant to land consolidation; collaborating with the National Legal Specialist to verify ownership and registration information; coordinating with local landowners to gather and verify information on property-related issues; supporting the implementation of land consolidation pilot projects; assisting in the preparation and updating of detailed workplans; organizing regular meetings to review project progress; contributing to training sessions for stakeholders; planning and organizing international missions; coordinating field activities; and preparing technical reports and deliverables as required.
Required Qualifications: Candidates must possess a university degree in Land Administration, Geomatics, Agriculture, Environmental Science, Law, Economics, or a related field. A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in land administration, GIS, agriculture, law, or a related area is required. Additionally, candidates must have a working knowledge of English at a C-level for both speaking and writing. Nationality of Georgia is also a requirement for this position.
Educational Background: The educational background required for this position includes a university degree in fields related to land administration, geomatics, agriculture, environmental science, law, or economics. It is essential that candidates have obtained their higher educational qualifications from institutions accredited or recognized in the World Higher Education Database (WHED).
