Job Overview:
The Assistant·e Support Logistique et Finance will support the Mission France coordinator" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">Support Coordinator, collaborating with the finance and logistics teams at the bases, coordination, and headquarters. This position offers a transversal view of the support functions of a multi-base humanitarian mission, with a particular involvement with the Mayotte base on logistical, administrative, financial, and IT aspects. The intern will gradually gain autonomy under the supervision of the Support Coordinator, depending on their mastery of SOLIDARITES INTERNATIONAL's procedures and tools. The internship aims to discover the functioning of support functions and their interactions between headquarters, coordination, and bases; understand the main logistical, financial, and administrative processes; utilize SOLIDARITES INTERNATIONAL's tracking tools; participate in the monitoring of purchases, equipment, travel, and administrative documents; discover the specificities of project management in the French context, particularly in Mayotte; and develop organizational, analytical, monitoring, and coordination skills.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates should be students in management, finance, accounting, purchasing, logistics, administration, or business school, seeking a 6-month internship. They should be organized, rigorous, curious, comfortable learning new tools, capable of managing multiple topics simultaneously, and able to communicate effectively with various stakeholders. Autonomy is essential, along with the ability to seek help when necessary. An interest in the humanitarian or associative sector is also important. A first experience in an association or professional setting is a plus, but the organization primarily seeks motivated and curious individuals eager to discover the support functions of a humanitarian organization.
Educational Background:
The educational background required for this position includes being a student in fields related to management, finance, accounting, purchasing, logistics, administration, or business studies. The internship is designed for individuals who are currently pursuing their studies and looking to gain practical experience in a humanitarian context.
Experience:
While a first experience in an associative or professional setting is advantageous, it is not mandatory. The organization is primarily looking for motivated candidates who are eager to learn and explore the support functions within a humanitarian organization. The focus is on the candidate's willingness to engage and develop their skills rather than on extensive prior experience.
Languages:
The mandatory language for this position is French, as the role involves communication with various stakeholders in a French-speaking context. Proficiency in English is also beneficial, as it may be necessary for interactions with international teams or documentation. Additional languages relevant to the regions where SOLIDARITES INTERNATIONAL operates could be considered an asset.
Additional Notes:
This internship is based at the SOLIDARITES INTERNATIONAL office in Marseille. It is a mandatory internship with a convention de stage required. The compensation is set at 5.60 euros per hour, calculated pro-rata based on actual hours worked in the month (approximately 154 hours per month, equating to 22 days of 7 hours each). Public transport costs will be covered at 50% by SOLIDARITES INTERNATIONAL, and meal vouchers worth 8.90 euros per day of actual internship presence will be provided, with SOLIDARITES INTERNATIONAL contributing 60%. - Purchases and Procurement: Assist in supplier research, request quotes, conduct competitive bidding, and follow up on purchases until payment; contribute to the monitoring of markets and contracts, preparation of monthly logistics packs; participate in the pooling of purchases and consolidation of documents for reports and audits.
- Transport and Travel: Assist in the organization and administrative follow-up of travel arrangements, including transport, accommodation, and associated services; contribute to travel between mainland France and Mayotte and, if necessary, follow up on inter-base freight.
- Equipment and IT: Participate in the reception, inventory, maintenance, and tracking of equipment; prepare IT equipment and assist in the integration of new employees in coordination with headquarters; provide first-level IT support and follow up on requests requiring specialized intervention.
- Accounting: Support the Coordinator by checking, verifying, and archiving supporting documents and accounting records; participate in first-level accounting controls and follow up on necessary documents for accounting processing.
- Financial Management: Assist the Coordinator in monitoring the budget (BFU) of projects, transversal expenses, and activities in Mayotte; contribute to the preparation of financial audits and follow up on budget discrepancies or anomalies.
- Administration and Coordination Support: Participate in updating and archiving administrative and logistical documents; contribute to updating the organizational chart and contacts; attend meetings of logistics and administrative teams, particularly with Mayotte; provide occasional support to bases as needed and prioritized.
