Job Overview: The Human Resources Officer position is crucial within the Programme Support and Management Services, specifically in the Human Resources Management Section of the OHCHR. Duties and Responsibilities: The Human Resources Officer will undertake a variety of responsibilities, including but not limited to: advising managers and staff on HR-related matters, preparing special reports, and leading HR projects. The officer will identify upcoming vacancies, prepare vacancy announcements, review applications, and conduct interviews to select candidates. They will also monitor recruitment activities, provide guidance on HR policies, and recommend procedural changes as necessary. Additionally, the officer will assess staff development needs, designtraining programs, and provide performance management advice. Other duties include advising staff on their rights and responsibilities, preparing job classification analyses, and assisting in the development of policy papers related to HR issues. Experience: A minimum of five years of progressively responsible experience in human resources management, administration, or a related area is required. This experience should include at least two years of managing full-cycle recruitment processes. Candidates should have a proven track record of advising managers and staff on HR policies and procedures, as well as experience in designing and implementing outreach strategies. Experience in data analytics or related fields is also desirable, as it will support the officer's ability to analyze trends and make data-driven decisions.
Languages: English is required for this position, with a minimum proficiency level of UN Level III in reading, writing, listening, and speaking. French is desirable, with a minimum proficiency level of UN Level II.
