Job Posting Organization:
Action contre la Faim (ACF) is a humanitarian organization that was established in 2021, although it has been responding to natural disasters in previous years. The organization focuses on providing humanitarian assistance to populations affected by armed conflict and extreme climatic phenomena, particularly in Cabo Delgado Province and more recently in Gaza Province due to flooding. ACF aims to strengthen community resilience and promote long-term development in collaboration with local authorities and civil society. The coordination office is located in Pemba, Cabo Delgado Province, and the organization operates with a team of 7 international staff and 116 national staff, managing operations with a budget of approximately 6 million euros.

Job Overview:
The Field Coordinator will work under the supervision of the Area Coordinator and will be responsible for coordinating the implementation of ACF's country strategy at the field level, specifically at the North base. This role involves overseeing the overall implementation of programs at the field level, managing the field team, and facilitating effective relationships with both the Area and Coordination teams. The Field Coordinator will represent ACF in interactions with regional authorities, UN agencies, and NGOs at both field and regional levels. Additionally, the role includes ensuring proper reporting and communication, as well as managing security" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">security protocols.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The Field Coordinator's duties include coordinating the implementation of ACF's country strategy at the field level, managing the field team, ensuring effective communication and reporting, and maintaining relationships with regional authorities and other stakeholders. The role also involves overseeing program implementation, managing security protocols, and facilitating collaboration between the field team and the coordination office. The Field Coordinator will be responsible for ensuring that the programs are executed effectively and in alignment with ACF's mission and objectives.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must hold a Master's degree in development, humanitarian aid, international relations, or a relevant field. A minimum of two years of field experience in humanitarian project management is required, with previous roles such as Grants Manager, Program Manager, or Program Coordinator being advantageous. Candidates should have experience in project cycle management and team leadership, as well as knowledge of ACF's sectors of intervention, including Nutrition & Health, WASH, FSL, Emergency response, and MHPSS-GP. Strong experience in engaging with partners is also essential.

Educational Background:
The educational background required for this position includes a Master's degree in a relevant field such as development, humanitarian aid, or international relations. This advanced degree is crucial for understanding the complexities of humanitarian work and project management in challenging environments.

Experience:
The position requires a minimum of two years of relevant field experience in humanitarian project management. Candidates should have a proven track record in managing projects and teams, demonstrating their ability to lead effectively in a humanitarian context. Experience in various sectors of intervention relevant to ACF's work is also important.

Languages:
Fluency in English is mandatory, and candidates should be able to communicate in Portuguese. If Portuguese is not yet mastered, candidates must commit to learning it during their mission. Additionally, a good level of proficiency in Spanish or Italian is considered a plus, enhancing communication capabilities in diverse environments.

Additional Notes:
The position offers a 12-month contract for national applications, adhering to ACF's internal and national salary conditions in Mozambique. For international applications, a fixed-term contract under French legislation is provided, also for 12 months. The monthly gross salary ranges from 2597 to 2968€ based on experience, including a 13th-month salary. Non-French citizens will receive a reimbursement of pension insurance at 16% of their gross monthly salary. Other benefits include an annual salary increase of 6% after each 12 months of continuous contract, a monthly per diem and living allowance of 839€ net, a country allowance of 450€, and a child allowance of 1500€ per year per child present in the country of origin (with a maximum of 6000€/year). Transportation and accommodation costs are covered, and ACF provides 100% medical coverage for health and repatriation insurance. Employees are entitled to 25 days of paid leave per year, 20 RnR days, and airfare reimbursement for chosen break destinations. ACF also offers support for career development and free access to an e-learning platform.
