Job Overview:
The position of Pasante de Alianzas y Movilización de Recursos at WFP involves supporting the identification and analysis of potential strategic partners, including businesses, foundations, and other relevant stakeholders. The intern will conduct research and mapping of private sector actors, trends in corporate social responsibility (CSR), sustainability, and ESG criteria. This role is crucial in contributing to the updating of databases, mapping allies, and tracking funding opportunities. The intern will assist in preparing company profiles, concept notes, presentations, and other institutional materials for meetings with partners. Additionally, the intern will collaborate in the preparation of proposals and documents to support resource mobilization initiatives and partnership development. The position also includes maintaining updated information for decision-making regarding alliances and funding opportunities, organizing meetings and events with private sector partners, and supporting the development of reports and knowledge products related to partnerships and resource mobilization.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The main responsibilities of the intern include:
  • Supporting the identification and analysis of potential strategic partners, including businesses, foundations, and other relevant actors.
  • Conducting research and mapping of private sector actors, CSR trends, sustainability, and ESG criteria.
  • Contributing to the updating of databases, mapping allies, and tracking funding opportunities.
  • Assisting in the preparation of company profiles, concept notes, presentations, and other institutional materials for meetings with partners.
  • Collaborating in the preparation of proposals and supporting documents for resource mobilization initiatives and partnership development.
  • Supporting the tracking of alliances and funding opportunities, ensuring updated information for decision-making.
  • Assisting in organizing meetings, events, visits, and relationship-building activities with private sector partners and other strategic stakeholders.
  • Supporting the development of reports, analyses, and knowledge products on partnerships, resource mobilization, and innovation.
  • Participating in internal coordination processes to gather relevant information for proposals, reports, and positioning materials. 1
  • Performing other tasks related to the Alliances and Resource Mobilization unit as required.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must be advanced university students or recent graduates (preferably within the last 12 months) in fields such as International Relations, Business Administration, Economics, Political Science, International Development, Communications, Marketing, or other related disciplines. Previous experience through internships, volunteer work, student associations, or research projects will be valued. Demonstrated interest in international development, strategic partnerships, sustainability, corporate social responsibility, and/or resource mobilization is essential. Previous experience in research, information analysis, presentation preparation, or activity coordination will be considered an advantage. A high level of proficiency in English is required.

Educational Background:
The educational background required for this position includes being an advanced university student or a recent graduate in relevant fields such as International Relations, Business Administration, Economics, Political Science, International Development, Communications, Marketing, or similar disciplines.
