Job Overview: The UN Driver position is integral to the operations of the United Nations Resident Coordination Office (RCO) in Malabo, Equatorial Guinea. The incumbent will be responsible for the safe transportation of authorized personnel and, in certain cases, the transport of general cargo and specialized hazardous goods. This role requires a high level of professionalism and adherence to driving regulations, as well as the ability to interact effectively with officials and visitors. The driver will also assist in logistical tasks, including making deliveries, handling minor purchases, and ensuring the maintenance of the assigned vehicle. Duties and Responsibilities: The duties and responsibilities of the UN Driver include:
Safely driving vehicles for the transport of authorized personnel and cargo.
Making regular deliveries of parcels and documents between the UN office and other institutions, such as ministries and embassies.
Handling minor purchases and collecting urgent items from local suppliers.
Facilitating customs and immigration formalities for official personnel at the airport.
Maintaining effective and tactful communication with officials and visitors.
Performing day-to-day maintenance of the assigned vehicles, including checking oil, water, battery, brakes, and tires, and arranging for repairs as necessary.
Logging official trips, daily mileage, gas consumption, and maintenance activities.
Ensuring compliance with rules and regulations in case of accidents.
Assisting with data collection and analysis, as well as preparing reports and presentations. 1

Performing other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Required Qualifications: The position requires a valid National Driver's License and a high school diploma or equivalent. A relevant first-level university degree may be accepted in lieu of two years of required experience. Candidates must demonstrate a safe driving record and possess knowledge of driving rules and regulations.
