Job Overview:
The position of Adjointe ou Adjoint Coordinateur or Coordinatrice RMM is integral to the Rapid Response Mechanism (RRM) consortium, focusing on enhancing analytical capacities by structuring Information Management Systems and developing Geographic Information Systems (GIS) components. The role involves managing and analyzing data, developing visualization and reporting solutions using Power BI, and engaging in cartography and GIS tasks. The successful candidate will be responsible for reporting and disseminating information, as well as coordinating and strengthening capacities within the team. This position requires a proactive approach to data management and a commitment to improving the effectiveness of humanitarian responses through informed decision-making and strategic planning.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The duties and responsibilities for this position include:
  • Managing and analyzing data to support the RRM's objectives.
  • Developing solutions for data visualization and reporting, particularly using Power BI.
  • Engaging in cartography and GIS activities to enhance spatial analysis capabilities.
  • Reporting and disseminating information effectively to stakeholders.
  • Coordinating with team members to strengthen their capacities in data management and analysis.
  • Producing high-quality dashboards, infographics, and visual materials tailored to decision-making and operational needs.
  • Utilizing advanced data collection and processing tools such as Excel, SQL, KoboCollect, and ODK, with a preference for experience in DHIS
  • Applying expertise in Business Intelligence, including Power Query, DAX, data modeling, and reporting automation.
  • Conducting spatial analysis, georeferencing, and web mapping to support programmatic decisions. 1
  • Collaborating with other departments to ensure data integrity and relevance in humanitarian contexts.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a Bac+4/5 degree in geography, geomatics, GIS, statistics, data science, decision-making informatics, humanitarian information management, or a related field. A solid expertise in data management and analysis is essential, along with proficiency in data collection and processing tools. Experience in Business Intelligence and GIS tools is highly desirable, as well as the ability to produce high-quality visual materials for decision-making purposes. Strong analytical skills and familiarity with statistical analysis tools such as SPSS, R, or Python are also required.

Educational Background:
The educational background required for this position includes a minimum of a Bac+4/5 degree in relevant fields such as geography, geomatics, GIS, statistics, data science, or humanitarian information management. This level of education ensures that candidates have the necessary theoretical knowledge and practical skills to perform effectively in the role.

Experience:
Candidates should have a proven track record in data management and analysis, with specific experience in using Business Intelligence tools and GIS applications. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in managing complex datasets and producing actionable insights from data analysis. Previous work in humanitarian contexts or similar environments is advantageous, as it demonstrates the ability to adapt to the challenges of the sector.

Languages:
Fluency in French is mandatory for this position, given the operational context in Chad. Proficiency in English is considered a valuable asset, as it may facilitate communication with international stakeholders and enhance collaboration within the organization.

This position is offered on a fixed-term contract under French law for a duration of 3.5 months, concluding on 14/07/202
  • The gross monthly salary ranges from 2130 to 2475 euros, depending on experience, and includes a 13th-month payment. Non-French citizens will receive a retirement insurance reimbursement of 16% of their gross monthly salary. The base salary is subject to a 6% increase every 12 months of continuous contract. Additional benefits include a monthly per diem and living expenses of 838 euros net, a monthly contextual allowance of 300 euros, and an annual child allowance of 1500 euros per child, with a maximum of 6000 euros per year. Transportation and accommodation will be provided, along with comprehensive medical coverage, including health insurance and repatriation costs. Employees are entitled to 25 days of annual leave and 20 rest and recuperation days, with travel expenses covered for breaks.
